Welcome to the home of South Birmingham Chess Club,  

Stirchley United WMC, 41 Hazelwell Lane, Stirchley, Birmingham B30 2PR.

45 or 47 Bus to Pershore road, or Cross city Train to Bournville Station, (Approx. 7 min walk),

From the Pershore road the club is 100yds on the left, see map below.

The club has a refreshment bar and free parking, but you must park in the marked bays and enter your registration to avoid a fine.

We meet Thursdays at 19:30. to play friendly and competitive matches, new members are always welcome, Please turn your Phone off in the playing area.

Currently we have Nine Teams in the Birmingham & District Chess League, two teams in the Dudley League and entries into the Summer Rapid Play,

  League Lightning, and Individual Tournaments. South Birmingham Chess Club is usually open throughout the year.
